Candidates For Love Interest in Spider-Man Reboot Revealed

The "Spider-Man" reboot is looking for its female lead and Heat Vision claims to have the shortlist of actresses who have met for the part.

The articles also states that the character of Mary Jane Watson will not be the film's love interest, leading to speculation that the storyline will add either Gwen Stacy, Felicia Hardy (the Black Cat), another of Peter Parker's past loves or may feature an all-new character created especially for the film.

Heat Vision's list includes the following (from left to right):

Lily Collins (The Blind Side, Priest), Ophelia Lovibond (Nowhere Boy), Imogen Poots (28 Weeks Later, the upcoming remake of Fright Night), Teresa Palmer (The Sorcerer's Apprentice, I Am Number Four) and Emma Roberts (Hotel for Dogs, Valentine's Day).

Mary Elizabeth Winstead (Scott Pilgrim vs. the World, the upcoming The Thing prequel) is listed as having just been dropped from the running.

Editor's Note: I was kinda lazy with this one, and just went on to copy & paste the original article from SHH. Well it's been a busy day, and I feel like I need a break from posting these news for today. Did you noticed how much I posted today? Not a whole lot, but it's a lot more than what I usually post in a day for this blog. Anyways, I find this interesting. And I really hope it's Gwen Stacy, which all fans would agree with me. Felicia Hardy would be too early for the first Spidey reboot (especially since this is taking place from the beginning), and I never really liked Liz Allen from the beginning (some fans speculate that it might be Liz).

I honestly don't know which one would be a great choice, if it's Gwen as the female lead. I haven't seen these actresses before. Well except Lily Collins (from The Blind Side) and Emma Roberts (from Hotel for Dogs). But since I only seen those two from those two movies, I don't know if they would be right for the role. But Teresa Palmer looks a lot more like Gwen, imo. But I think they should get an actress not just for the looks (either she's hot or just that she has the look of the character), but also who can portray the character very well on screen.

Also, I think Mary Elizabeth Winstead should be Mary Jane Watson. Either in this movie or the next. She would be a good choice. So that's it! Leave a comment below, and let me know what you think. Please & thank you! :D
