And here are the two new set photos. The first picture features Andrew Garfield (Peter Parker) with Dane DeHaan (Harry Osborn). The last photo is Peter with his costume on, standing in the middle of his messy bedroom.
That is all for now!

CULVER CITY, Calif., June 17, 2013 – With Sony Pictures Entertainment now in production in New York on The Amazing Spider-Man™ 2, slated for release on May 2, 2014, the studio is planting its flag on two future release dates for one of the most successful franchises in studio history, it was announced today by Jeff Blake, Chairman, Worldwide Marketing and Distribution for Sony Pictures. The next two films in the story of Peter Parker will be released on June 10, 2016, and on May 4, 2018, respectively.
Commenting on the announcement, Blake said, “Spider-Man is our most important, most successful, and most beloved franchise, so we’re thrilled that we are in a position to lock in these prime release dates over the next five years.”
The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is directed by Marc Webb from a screenplay by Alex Kurtzman & Roberto Orci & Jeff Pinkner, with a previous draft by James Vanderbilt, and based on the Marvel Comic Book by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko. Avi Arad and Matt Tolmach are the producers. The executive producers are E. Bennett Walsh, Stan Lee, Alex Kurtzman, and Roberto Orci.
The Amazing Spider-Man took in over $750 million at the worldwide box office last year.
Initial remarks from Marc Webb explicitly stated that Mary Jane would only have a brief appearance in "The Amazing Spider-Man 2" as a set-up for a bigger role moving forward. Webb's statement was backed up by the relative short amount of time Woodley spent filming the sequel. Well apparently, that brief appearance is now being saved for the third installment of "The Amazing Spider-Man" which was just recently revealed to have secured a June 10, 2016 release date. No word on whether the footage that Woodley has already filmed will be used in the third installment or scrapped all together. "The Amazing Spider-Man 2" will be released in the US on May 2, 2014.
From Marc Webb [via Deadline] - "“I made a creative decision to streamline the story and focus on Peter and Gwen and their relationship. Shailene is an incredibly talented actress and while we only shot a few scenes with Mary Jane, we all love working with her."
So what are your thoughts about this? Comment below and let me know!

"It was very hard for me to see the new Spider-Man movie, I felt so attached to it, I couldn’t see Spider-Man with another director; it’s like my love, and I didn’t want to walk in on my love with someone else. It was just like that. Then I got over myself last week and said, ‘just see the damn thing’. And I did, and I loved it. I actually felt free. I thought, ‘why am I carrying around this baggage?’ Of course the next Spider-Man story should be told, and [Marc Webb] did a wonderful job telling that. I loved the movie, and I’m looking forward like a fan to the next instalment. I love the comic book, and now I don’t feel bound, and I’m really glad somebody’s remaking it again."That's great that Mr. Raimi enjoyed The Amazing Spider-Man. I hope great things for his future as a film director, and I can't wait to watch his Oz The Great And Powerful, I'm really looking forward to that. So what did Sam Raimi had to say about his departing with Sony Pictures on the "now dead" fourth-installment of his Spider-Man series?
"It really was the most amicable and undramatic of breakups: It was simply that we had a deadline and I couldn't get the story to work on a level that I wanted it to work. I was very unhappy with Spider-Man 3, and I wanted to make Spider-Man 4 to end on a very high note, the best Spider-Man of them all. But I couldn't get the script together in time, due to my own failings, and I said to Sony, "I don't want to make a movie that is less than great, so I think we shouldn't make this picture. Go ahead with your reboot, which you've been planning anyway." And [Sony co-chairman] Amy Pascal said, "Thank you. Thank you for not wasting the studio's money, and I appreciate your candor." So we left on the best of terms, both of us trying to do the best thing for fans, the good name of Spider-Man, and Sony Studios."Well we all already knew about Anne Hathaway was gonna be Black Cat in "Spider-Man 4". I do like the reboot as much as the first & second, but I do feel the original series should've ended on a high note. So what do you webheads think of this news?? Comment below and let me know!

I kinda have mix feelings for this choice, but he's not a bad choice at all. Just I can't see him becoming the Green Goblin, unless he has a stunt double, or they completely make him Hulk Goblin (Oh please God no). There's rumors that Dane DeHaan, who is playing Harry Osborn, is probably gonna be the Green Goblin instead. After all it has been reported that Dane is working out for the role. I hope this isn't the case, because I want to see the original Green Goblin take on Spider-Man in this new series. But I guess we will have to see how this all pans out.
In the comics, Norman famously becomes the Green Goblin. However, there are no plot details at this time to suggest that he will make an appearance in the film as the Goblin. Cooper joins the already jam packed cast that features returning stars Andrew Garfield as Spider-Man, Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy, and Sally Field as Aunt May. Also rounding out the cast are new comers Jamie Foxx as Electro, Paul Giamatti as Rhino, and Shailene Woodley as Mary Jane. The film is set to hit theaters on May 2, 2014.

This movie is definitely shaping up to be pretty cool, and I'm really excited about it! So what are your thoughts about Spidey's new duds? And what are your thoughts in general of what you read about The Amazing Spider-Man 2 so far? Comment below, and let me know!
And yes I know I haven't posted much about this movie in the past few weeks, even though there have been on set pics recently. But I'm still busy with college, and that comes first! So like always...
